Dr. David Simpson is a California board certified Chiropractor. Dr. Simpson graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in June of 2016. He has his undergrad degree in exercise physiology and has a background in rehabilitation having worked in a physical therapy department for over five years. Dr. Simpson was also a personal trainer for a couple years prior to starting his doctorate program for Chiropractic.
Dr. Simpson uses a functional massage to address the muscular component of the dysfunction that is going on prior to adjusting the joint to insure the overall improvement of the musculoskeletal system. This allows for the adjustment to be achieved with minimal force and the patient will typically hold the adjustment better than just getting the adjustment alone.
Rehab exercises are then utilized to train a more normal muscle pattern and better eliminate the overall dysfunction that is causing symptoms and to minimize a reoccurrence of the same injury. Dr. Simpson uses manual adjustments however when this is less than ideal, he uses an activator, or utilizes a drop table.
